Curator

Apsara DiQuinzio, Curatorial Assistant at the Whitney Museum of American Art, co-organized the Whitney’s 2004 Biennial Exhibition, curated by Chrissie Iles, Shamim M. Momin, and Debra Singer, and contributed essays on selected artists for the exhibition’s catalogue. In addition to coordinating the Whitney’s Contemporary Series and the SoundCheck series, she recently produced the performance component of the 2004 Biennial. At the Whitney, she has coordinated solo exhibitions of the work of Paul Sietsema, Sarah Sze, Irit Batsry, LOT-EK, Jennifer Pastor, and researched the documentary film series for the exhibition The American Effect, curated by Lawrence Rinder. This past summer she co-curated The Freedom Salon at Deitch Projects, a one-week exhibition that ran counter to the Republican National Convention. She has also served as a jury for several national shows.
