Amnesty all around!
There are 10 local Amnesty International chapters in New York City and dozens of student groups.
Here are web sites for a few:
- Amnesty International Brooklyn, based in Park Slope. Meets on the second Monday of every month at the New York Public Library in Brooklyn Heights.
- Amnesty International Group 280, based in Midtown Manhattan. Meets on the third Tuesday of every month.
- Amnesty International Group 9, based in Greenwich Village. Email them for information about their next meeting (usually the third Tuesday of every month).
- Amnesty International Group 11, based on the Upper West and Upper East Side. Email them for information on meeting times and locations. Work primarily on Burma, Iran, China, the death penalty, and women's issues.
- Amnesty International Group 3, the oldest Amnesty International group in the country. Email them for more information.
