In collaboration with the Amnesty International Women's Human Rights Action Team, Safe Horizon, Tonic, Exit Art and Isadora Productions, Firefly Project presented a series of events to raise awareness about human trafficking in New York City, one of the major ports of entry for trafficking networks in the United States.

On January 22-23, 2005, AI Firefly joined with Theaters Against War and Art Is Permitted Everywhere to host a gathering of over 200 New York City artists and activists to reaffirm local commitment to arts activism, strengthen ties among members of New York City's artist-activist community, and address ongoing social justice concerns.
